well south of louisiana but into that little point that is the delta of new orleans. here is the map. here is the brown area where the brown oil is. the source there, obviously still coming out. yesterday, we found out about this time that there were not only 1,000 barrels coming out per day -- that's about 42,000 gallons -- but there were maybe 5,000 barls coming out -- that's almost 200,000 gallons of oil coming out per day. so here it is, right on the shore of louisiana today. farther back up towards biloxi by saturday. into mobile bay by sunday. and then maybe as far east as pensacola. the good news right now, the oil that is coming on shore is almost tar balish. it's been in the water a very long time so they're coming out as kind of like balls of tar, if you would. the next layer is going to be more like mayonnaise because it's not going to be in the water as long, not going to evaporate as long. the devastating is that water and the oil that comes on shore as liquid like the exxon valdez, the animals get in this, it's plankton all the way to the river otter pro

heavier and stronger storms have been around the gulf states extending toward alabama and arkansas across louisiana. here's the driving force here. this low pressure system that will push the cold front that will get here by tomorrow. look at this, there is still snow on the back edge of this back country in colorado. that's the problem with the storm. we've had 20 tornadoes reported out of this storm system since it really started up earlier in the week. it will start moving into our region and then stall out. the warm airlifts across. by tomorrow we'll get temperatures around 70 degrees. then the cold air moves in and stalls. this front stalls and the low lifts to our north. it will get here tomorrow, stay with us until tuesday and then by wednesday we'll see clearing and the clearing will also bring where it sunshine and the temperatures go up. if there is rain we'll go from 70 degrees back into the 60s for monday and tuesday. so this is how it all plays out, a small craft advisory in effect tomorrow afternoon that stays through monday morning. next high tide is 3:55, your sunset is 7:54. going

gregg: i see where the senator from louisiana wants to speak. but the point here is pretty obvious. this is not a bipartisan issue. we can resolve the issue of financial regulatory reform if we sit down and do it in a constructive, thoughtful way. step back, be mature, and take an approach that's thoughtful versus wrapped in hyperbole and populism of the moment, preside. president, i want to spend a few minutes, if i may, this afternoon to talk about our -- the issue that has been the subject of much debate an discussion over the last number of days and that is the financial reform bill that will be coming to the floor of this body in a matter of days. an issue that is going to confront, as the circumstances presently are -- exist into members having to make a choice. and my hope is that before that occurs, that we can reach some understanding here that will allow us to have a strong bill that ends too big to fail, that protects consumers. builds the kind of architecture for financial services, that allows us to avoid the pitfalls that caused our economy to reach almost near collaps
